What We Do
GCPA, a non-profit 503(c), provides early intervention and therapeutic childcare for infants and toddlers with developmental differences and special health care needs, aged 6 weeks to their third birthday. Our program, housed in Gateway Education Center, located in Greensboro, and conducted in partnership with the Guilford County Schools, offers comprehensive therapies and specialized childcare. The Therapeutic Early Intervention Program operates in four classrooms with trained staff, along with therapists, 6 hours per day, five days per week, during the Guilford County school year. Additionally, GCPA offers a therapeutic summer program for our families of currently enrolled students as an extended school year, to increase continuity of care. GCPA serves children with all types of developmental delays, disorders, and special health care needs; including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and various other genetic disorders.
