The Senior Wheels Medical Transportation Program provides rides for seniors age 60 and over who are ambulatory to medical appointments in Guilford County and to regional medical facilities. Volunteer drivers from the community provide the rides to scheduled medical appointments. Volunteers must be 21 years or older with a valid license and insurance. Volunteers must pick-up clients from their home, drive clients to their appointment, wait and then take the client home. Volunteers can expect to spend 2-3 hours with this task. Requirement of 1 appointment a month.
